TOP 5 COLLEGE FESTIVALS IN BANGALORE

1)PRAVEGA

(INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE)

‘Pravega’ is the name derived from a Sanskrit word pravegah which means acceleration. It is the techno-cultural festival of India’s best research institute IISc. Since its inception in 2013, it has garnered a lot of attention as it covers numerous science and technological events along with the cultural ones. Pravega falls in around January end every year.

2) IN-BLOOM

(CHRIST UNIVERSITY)

Christ University organizes a National level cultural festival in the month of February annually . Here, students from various universities can show their strengths in arts, stage, theatre and literary events. The theme for 2015 was ‘The World Outside The Window’ and the theme for 2016 is ‘Wonderland’.

3)UTSAV

(B.M.S. COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING)

Utsav is amongst the largest college fests in Bangalore. About 50,000 people every year attend Utsav from different parts of the country. Utsav is the oldest cultural festival in India as it started in 1975. Turtle, Whipsplash, EDM night are some of the major events of Utsav. Besides, mountaineering events are also a part of this festival. It takes place in the month of April.

4)ACHARYA HABBA

(ACHARYA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY)

The annual cultural festival of Acharya Institute of Technology garners attention of around 30,000 students from across 300 colleges in Karnataka. Acharya Habba has an event known as International Acharya Habba where in international students studying in the campus give performances. Acharya Habba falls in March every year.

5)CUL-AH!

(MOUNT CARMEL COLLEGE)

Mount Carmel College organizes an inter-collegiate event in February every year titled Cul-Ah! As the name suggests, this festival is full of cultural events, entertainment and experiences. Beat boxing, classical dances, street battles, rock shows, ramp shows and a lot more events happen here. With interesting themes every year, Cul-Ah! doesn’t fail to entertain the numerous college students. So, gear up for Cul-Ah!
