 1. SAARANG

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY MADRAS (IIT MADRAS)

Saarang is the biggest cultural festival in South India having a footfall of about 50,000 students from across 500 colleges in India. It is completely student organised and also has ISO certification. Saarang is five-day-long fest having various major events like EDM nite, Choreo nite, Popular nite and a lot more. Also, personalities like Kamal Haasan and Arun Shourie have given mindblowong lectures at Saarang. Falling in the month of January, this fest doesn’t fail to entertain the people at all.

2. TECHOFES

COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, GUINDY

COEG is one of the finest technical colleges and Techofes is a four-day-long extravaganza conducted by it. This exhilarating fest not only encourages music and dance, but also events like fireless cooking competition and face painting are a part of this fest. Techofes aims to extract creativity and uniqueness among the young talent. The fest usually takes place in February every year.

 3. MITAFEST

MADRAS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

Former President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam is an alumni of this institute. Besides, Times of India and Wildcraft were among the major sponsors of Mitafest. The star studded fest usually takes place in February end. Various new events are added every year to this happening fiesta. And the feather on the cap is , participate in the actor/actress talent hunt, and you might actually get a ticket to Kollywood!

4PRADARSHINI

 KILPAUK MEDICAL COLLEGE

Kilpauk Medical College organises the cultural fest ‘Pradarshini’ which means ‘The Display of Art’. The choreo nite here is the cherry on the cake. From singing to hair styling, one can portray any kind of talent. So, if you think you have some unusual talent , Pradarshini is waiting for you in the last week of December. Gear up!
